Select your input, and in this dropdown you have an option to select placeholder, and set custom color.

Great!!!
But when I choose the placeholder tag, it doesn’t show the grey color, only white.
Now if I want to get back to the grey color, I can’t because it doesn’t show it’s color.
Default silver color for placeholder is coming from browser, and currently we are not covering values that are coming from the browser. It will come in future.
