According to SEO recommendations, each image should have a descriptive name, like modern-garden-design. If I add an image to Divhunt and add an alt attribute, do I still need to change the image file name? Or does the alt attribute define its description, rather than the file name itself?
Image urls in divhunt are automatically generated, it is a random ID. In future we might improve it to also include image name in url.
From our research, impact on SEO is basically non-existant for image names. As long as you add alt-name, it should be fine.
But even alt names don’t have much impact on SEO as I know. You know what they say, content is king of SEO If people are actually reading content, staying on a page, have a low bounce rate, etc… you will be fine
