Components losing their overrides when duplicated + not showing correctly + not dropping at all on the canvas layout

I am still relatively new forgive me but I am already experiencing roadblocks here when it comes to components.

https://streamable.com/rqfq4n

I have produced a video screen recording to showcase:

  1. Components losing their overrides when duplicated. Isn’t the whole point of components is to retain these overrides?
  2. Components not showing at all on their separate workspace area.
  3. Components not showing at all when drag-&-drop into the layout.

Clarity and response appreciated.

I’d also be grateful if anyone can address my other query here >> .

Andrew.

seven days have passed and still no response.

Here I am reuploading the video again in the hope to obtain interest from anyone for assistance.

Hello as I mentioned you are probably making weird constructions in divhunt builder- that’s why they are not working. You have a big mess in your builder. Tried you make some advices but you have your “own style”.

1.Make a navbar component(not many components in navbar)- your navbar is an element with components(not a single component).- thats why its not working

2.How to add component on your page?(not sure if drag and drop works this way for component)
How to add a component- click icon on top

Choose type of component in settings.

Hi @WojciechK it’s good to hear from you again.

So to clarify, Divhunt only allows one (1) level of component yet not multiples of others in one component, is this correct? If so, this was not highlighted in the official tutorials, thus far.

If I may retrospect our prior interaction I would appreciate that from CX (customer experience perspective) we’d remain focused on the technical, than semantic diagnosis.

In any case, I appreciate your help here once again.

Sincerely,
Andrew.

  1. True, when you duplicate a component, new duplicated components goes the default state. We will work on this, its a bad ux.
  2. This sometimes happen when component is position absolute, sticky or fixed. Usually happens with navbars.
  3. I am not sure what do you mean? Usually for me fastest and best way to add a component on a page, is to add “component” tag from navbar, go to the settings (right sidebar) and select which component that should be.
