I am using a webstie monitoring tool that checks if one of my sites goes down. I have a monitor like this setup for a site I have on Divhunt, it checks every 1 minute, and considers the site down if it does not respond to 3 checks for 30 seconds.
I have noticed that the site goes down for 1-3 minutes often over the past month.
Here is a screen recording where I show the monitor I use, how it is configured and the incidents:
Since I am sending paid traffic to this site, the thought that potential leads are being lost, it hurts.
I saw these notifications of the site being down for a month now, I figured it might be due to something that resolves itself soon, but now it has been a while and I still get notifications all the time that the site it down.
Can you please look into this and let me know what may be the issue?
According to my Site Monitor, my Divhunt site was down 41 times yesterday, for 1 min 30 secs per time. That’s about a full hour of not being online, but spread of the course of the day.
I have also seen it being down with my own eyes when visiting the site.
At this point it is definitely a serious issue, but I have not recieved any response here yet.
Hi, have you seen it yourself in any moment being offline?
Maybe that tool is not working good with Divhunt websites?
I would need to check that tool on some other website we host I guess
We know some requests might fail, but thats very very low amount… being down 1h a day I would say didnt happen for sure. Maybe our servers even pause requests of that tool due to spam… we will need to investigate more
Yes I’ve seen it being offline myself. Since the incidents are short, if you wait a while and then try again later it will not be offline anymore, but a first time visitor coming from ads will not try more than once.
I think the tool works fine with Divhunt websites, it is simply an uptime monitor.
It is not finding the site to be down constantly. The last downtime incident was on Tuesday the 25th, before that on Sunday the 23rd, before that on the 19th and so on. If it didnt work with Divhunt wesbites for whatever reasons, it would not work constantly, not intermittently.
In any case, as I said the last incident was on Tuesday the 25th, repeated incidents of around 1.5 minutes throught the day… the site being down was a real thing and something caused it.
Give me another website to enter it into the tool and I will track the uptime there as well.
Do you track the uptime for any of the websites on your platform?
The fact that it is not an everyday thing does not mean it is not important, it needs to be looked into and resolved. I would suggest that you talk to your CDN or wherever the source of this downtime is coming from.
