Is there any way to create a button that would launch an email in a specific application?
When I use the current email function, it opens Outlook on my Mac, and I am a Gmail user.
Would love to create one button for Gmail, one for Outlook, etc that opens the application they actually use, and not what may be defaulted on their device.
That’s up to the visitors to set their default app. I would be furious if Gmail was opened when I use Outlook on my phone and computer.
mailto: links only initiates the opening of their default mail app. If you want to open Gmail in your browser, then you have to install a Browser plugin that react on the mailto: links to open your webapp Gmail instead.
The window is opening based you users default browser preferences.
