Resources for learning good web design

Just some praise here – I LOVE the elements you guys have made.

I want to make my own, but feel like I struggle either coming up with my own components, or making them as clean as you guys have.

Any resources you would recommend for someone wanting to learn more about making visually-pleasing components?

Hey @rneary, ideas for the design come with experience and countless back-and-forth processes in creating them!

I suggest the best thing you can do is practice. Keep making them, and with time, you’ll start to notice what you can change in the previous creations.

One good starting point is design inspiration sites like:

Let me know if this helps, and feel free to share your creations here for feedback so we can speed up that improvement process!

Have you checked out Youtube videos and courses on UI/UX design?

A good place to start is this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4eRTkCDWmI

But any video on web design fundamentals should be great learning.
Here’s one from Envato: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-ytMSuwbf8

Udemy has lots of courses too.

And if you want to learn some actual standards (padding, visual design of elements, color theory etc) check this guy’s courses out: https://hype4.academy/

Hope that helps!
