So, I first want to start by saying I’m a diehard Divhunt fan and I’m with these guys until the end. They’ve been amazing. I don’t want people to get the wrong idea. lol
But, I’ve been coming across Webstudio a lot lately. And I’m just wondering… Are they like Divhunts closest competitor?
I’ve been just seeing them pop up a lot lately so I was interested and went to check them out. They seem to be similar to Divhunt in some ways.
I’m asking because it’s like they came out of nowhere. And they seem to be advancing extremely rapidly and adding features like crazy. Or that’s just how it seems from just finding out about them and looking into them for the first time.
Do they have the same capabilities as Divhunt? They aren’t SPA. But it seems like they’re targeting the same audience as Divhunt.
I don’t mean anything by this. Just genuinely curious so I thought I’d ask.
BTW I’m asking this because I want to see Divhunt win. I think they built an amazing tool and I think the devs deserve it. And anything I can do to help Divhunt win, just let me know.
Since we are in same industry, they are indeed our competitor.
Their biggest selling point is that they are open source. So basically you can build a website using their tool and host it by yourself, while with us, we host a website for you.
But, they lack features in comparison to Divhunt or Webflow. For example they don’t have native CMS. They want you to use 3rd party solutions, which is weird in my opinion.
Our visual builder is far better, both in looks and in features, such as custom css, advanced instances, targeting children and more, I am trying to be as objective as I can Let’s not forget canvas, and that you can zoom in or out, and edit multiple pages at once.
I haven’t tested their builder much to go into more details, but my honest opinion is that we are much more advanced, but we lack documentation, so people don’t really understand right now what is Divhunt capable of, but we are working on it
And they really need to hire a designer, their builder UI is just an example of “developer did design while coding”.
Yeah, I just saw them pop up more and more so I decided to check it out. And when I did, I noticed they’re releasing features pretty fast. But the features they’re releasing seem to be more for show. Like how they have AI with voice already and they’re adding animations that are easy to add to elements.
I just had a hard time understanding what exactly they were trying to do. But they do have helpful documentation and videos. And thats definitely where Divhunt falls short. Hopefully you can get working on that soon! Without documentation its easy to become lost and stuck. Thats kinda where I’m at now. I’m sure most people would agree that without it, we’re basically not even able to use Divhunt effectively or get the most out of it.
And as a side note, their videos are really simple and easy to follow. Maybe try copying that. It’ll be helpful for beginners trying to learn Divhunt.
Also, if there’s anything we or I can do to help the Divhunt team so that you’re able to get the documentation together or speed up the development of the memberships, CMS, and other things, let us know. I mean I don’t know what or how I could contribute but if it’ll help Divhunt advance then I’ll try. Just say something.
