What are the difference between paddings and margins?

Hi guys,

I know this is very basic but I can’t understand when to choose the right option.

I am watching the tutorial about the accordions and you explain that we use margins to have spaces between paragraphs and headings.

When I use the padding it is the same as the margins when I want to have the space between the heading and paragraph so why in this example you we choose the margins?

At what circumcisions do we use the margins or the padding?

Here it looks the same as I change the margins and the padding in the accordion content
